A nine-tailed fox cast mid-stride, tails fanned in cold-cast bronze. Modeled after the omens of Qingqiu, said to herald an age of peace when it appears — and warn of ruin when it turns feral.
Cold-cast bronze composite with a hand-rubbed patina; walnut base finished in natural oil. Dust with a dry, soft cloth. Keep away from direct sun and moisture.
Dispatched in protective foam within a rigid archival box. Fully insured, tracked to 60+ countries; duties included for most regions. Ships with a signed, numbered certificate matching the seal on the base. 14-day returns on unopened editions.
Nine tails, one fox, and two very different fates depending on who is telling the story.
In the oldest passages of the Shan Hai Jing, the nine-tailed fox of Qingqiu is neither monster nor pet — it is a sign. Under a wise ruler it appears and the realm knows peace; under a corrupt one, its cry is the last warning before collapse.
Later retellings pulled it toward menace, but the earliest fox is a weather vane for the age itself, calm in one century and ravenous in the next.
"When the nine-tailed fox is seen, the realm shall know great peace."
Heavier and better than the photos. First thing anyone asks about.
The certificate and numbered seal make it feel like an actual edition, not merch.
Beautiful object, exactly as described. Would buy another beast.
Editions sell out fast and quietly. Subscribers hear about each new beast — and every restock — before anyone else.
